About Us
Dedicated Experienced Firearm Instructors
Trent and Steve Garner are subject-matter experts when it comes to firearms and self-defense. Together, they have over 40 years of Army experience in combat-related fields, including combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. Both are NRA-certified instructors dedicated to providing high-quality firearms training to the public.
Trent Garner
Trent Garner is a decorated combat veteran, attorney, and former Arkansas State Senator. Born and raised in South Arkansas, he joined the Arkansas National Guard at 17 and, after the attacks of September 11th, enlisted in the active-duty Army, earning the distinction of becoming a U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret. He served two combat tours in Afghanistan, receiving the Combat Infantryman Badge, a Bronze Star Medal for Valor, and an Army Commendation Medal for Valor. He still serves today as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the Arkansas National Guard.
As a licensed attorney with a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law, Trent has built his career around the Second Amendment and self-defense law. Elected in 2016 as the youngest State Senator in Arkansas, he wrote the law on Arkansas concealed carry and drafted and passed dozens of bills to help veterans during his six years in the Senate. Trent lives in El Dorado, Arkansas, with his wife, Kelly, and their two children, Lincoln and Delta.
Steve Garner
Steve Garner is a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major with more than 37 years of service as a combat infantryman in the Army. Raised in Bearden, Arkansas, he enlisted in 1980 and spent his career leading soldiers as a rifle and scout platoon sergeant, deploying to Saudi Arabia for Operation Southern Watch and serving two combat tours in Iraq. His decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Combat Infantry Badge. He retired in 2017 as a Sergeant Major with the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
A military instructor in handguns, AR-15s, and long guns, Steve has trained countless soldiers over nearly four decades. He lives in Des Arc, Arkansas, and is an avid outdoorsman who hunts and fishes all over the state.
